Ginger and Garin tied the knot into heavenly matrimony the end of August and now there are pictures of the happy couple. She loved the early 1910's fashions and sent me assorted pictures of period paintings and images to illustrate what she liked and what her dress was supposed to look like. Ginger and her 2 brides women are without a doubt the shortest ladies I have had the pleasure of working for yet, all three stand about 4'11". Nevertheless this entire wedding party was a huge amount of fun to do. Ginger's dress was made with an ivory colored crepe for the base, overlaid with a floral embossed sheer found in the interior deco section. The overskirt is open in frontand a small piece of embroidered net holds a fringe of beads. The sleeve cuffs and belt were made with a camel colored silk shantung. As always, all bead details are hand applied. |
