A 1910's Summer suit....
For this outfit I used a really wide cotton lace I found on ebay that had a straight edge on both sides. I combined it with white cotton twill to make this 1910's inspired ladie's walking or traveling suit. Both jacket and skirt are fully lined and the skirt zipps up in the back. This would have bee worn with some sort of shirtwaist underneath, but the pictures where taken last summer and it was 95 degrees when I modelled it.
This suit is an excellent example for that sometimes you don't start with an idea and then get all the materials needed to realize it, but instead you start with some 12 yards of lace you find somewhere and it grows the idea for you.
